Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Beef (top round or flank steak) thinly sliced
- ½ cup Soy sauce
- ¼ cup Brown sugar
- ¼ cup Mirin
- 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- ½ teaspoon Ground black pepper
1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
3. Preheat your dehydrator to 160°F (70°C).
4. Lay the marinated beef slices in a single layer on the dehydrator trays.
5. Dehydrate for 4-6 hours, or until the beef is dry and chewy.
6. Let the jerky cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
