Garlic Hummus

Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can Chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • ¼ cup Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • ¼ cup Tahini
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil plus extra for serving
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin
  • to taste Salt
  • 2-3 tablespoon Water as needed

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a food processor, combine the tahini and lemon juice. Process for 1 minute.
  2. 2. Add the olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, and salt to the mixture. Process for another 30 seconds.
  3. 3. Add half of the chickpeas to the food processor and process for 1 minute. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl, then add the remaining chickpeas and process until thick and smooth.
  4. 4. With the food processor running, slowly add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water until the hummus is smooth and creamy.
  5. 5. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika, if desired.
