Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs yuca (cassava) peeled and cut into sticks
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
1. Peel the yuca and cut it into sticks.
2. Boil the yuca sticks in salted water for about 10 minutes, until they are just tender but not falling apart.
3. Drain the yuca and let it cool.
4. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
5. Fry the yuca sticks in batches until they are golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
6. Remove the yuca fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
7. Sprinkle with salt and serve hot.
