Main Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 ¼ teaspoon active dry yeast
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
2. Add whole wheat flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until the dough starts to come together.
3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
6. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet. Add your favorite toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
