Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup vodka
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • for garnish Fresh basil

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  2. Pour in vodka, simmer until reduced by half.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, cook for another 10 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Serve over pasta, topped with Parmesan and basil.
