  • 2 cups Milk
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 3 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  3. Stir in butter and vanilla extract. Pour into a bowl and cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
