Twenty-Four Hour Salad
A classic make-ahead salad that's perfect for gatherings.

Salad Ingredients
- 1 head Iceberg lettuce chopped
- 1 cup Celery chopped
- 1 cup Green bell pepper chopped
- 1 cup Frozen peas thawed
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- ½ cup Cheddar cheese shredded
- 8 slices Bacon cooked and crumbled
1. In a large bowl, layer the chopped lettuce, celery, green bell pepper, and peas.
2. Spread the mayonnaise evenly over the top of the vegetables.
3. Sprinkle the sugar over the mayonnaise layer.
4. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.
6. Toss the salad just before serving.
