Ingredients 

Dough

  • 500 g flour
  • 250 ml milk warm
  • 7 g dry yeast
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 50 g butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Filling

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add flour, beaten egg, melted butter, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  3. 3. For the filling, heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and cook until translucent. Add ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook until meat is browned.
  4. 4. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle, fold and seal the edges.
  5. 5. Place pirozhki on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
