Traditional Gyros Recipe
A classic Greek dish made with seasoned meat, fresh vegetables, and tangy tzatziki sauce, all wrapped in a warm pita.

Gyros Ingredients
- 500 g Lamb or Chicken sliced thin
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Oregano dried
- 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 Cucumber grated and drained
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice fresh
- 1 tablespoon Dill fresh, chopped
- 4 Pita Breads warmed
- 1 cup Tomatoes chopped
- 1 cup Red Onion sliced
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the garlic, olive oil, oregano, thyme, and paprika. Add the sliced meat and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated meat until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
3. In another bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, and chopped dill to make the tzatziki sauce.
4. Warm the pita breads in a skillet or oven.
5. Assemble the gyros by placing the cooked meat, chopped tomatoes, and sliced red onions on the warmed pita. Top with tzatziki sauce and serve immediately.
