Tostones Fried Plantains Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 3 green plantains peeled and cut into 1-inch slices
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
- to taste salt
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add the plantain slices to the pan and fry until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove the plantains and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Using the bottom of a glass or a flat object, press down on each plantain slice to flatten it.
Return the flattened plantains to the pan and fry again until crispy, about 2 minutes per side.
Remove from the pan, drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with salt. Serve hot.
