Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large tomatoes chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger grated
  • 2 green chilies chopped
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • to taste salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté until onions are golden brown.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  4. Add sugar and vinegar. Cook for another 5 minutes until the chutney thickens.
  5. Let it cool and store in an airtight container.
