Ingredients

  • 400 g Spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 800 g Canned tomatoes
  • 1 cup Fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated optional

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. 3. Add the canned tomatoes to the pan and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4. Stir in the chopped basil leaves and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. 5. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the tomato basil sauce. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
