Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Whisk together.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoon water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the saucepan and whisk until the sauce thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool. Use as a marinade or sauce.
