Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Tamarind pulp
  • 1 cup Jaggery grated
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder roasted
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, add tamarind pulp and water. Bring to a boil.
  2. 2. Add grated jaggery, cumin powder, salt, and red chili powder. Stir well.
  3. 3. Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. 4. Strain the mixture to remove any tamarind fibers.
  5. 5. Let it cool and store in an airtight container.
