  • 1 cup mashed sweet potatoes
  • ½ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions 

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water, let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix mashed sweet potatoes, warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add yeast mixture to the bowl and stir well.
  4. Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  7. Punch down the dough and shape it into rolls.
  8. Place rolls on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  10. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
