  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine tamarind paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili flakes, garlic powder, and water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
  4. Transfer the sauce to a bowl and serve or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
