Swedish Glogg Recipe
A traditional Swedish mulled wine, perfect for warming up during the winter holidays.

Main Ingredients
- 1 bottle red wine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 5 pieces cardamom pods
- 5 pieces cloves
- 1 piece orange peel from one orange
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup blanched almonds
In a large pot, combine the water, sugar, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and orange peel. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add the red wine, raisins, and almonds. Heat gently until steaming but not boiling.
Strain the mixture to remove the spices and orange peel. Serve hot in mugs.
