Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 jar Grape leaves rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup Rice uncooked
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • ¼ cup Pine nuts optional
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ½ cup Olive oil divided
  • 2 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine rice, ground beef, onion, pine nuts, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. 2. Lay a grape leaf flat, shiny side down. Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center. Fold the sides over and roll up tightly.
  3. 3. Place the stuffed grape leaves seam side down in a large pot. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  4. 4. Drizzle with half of the olive oil. Add chicken broth and lemon juice. Place a plate on top to keep them from floating.
  5. 5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  6. 6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
