Ingredients

  • 2 cups Strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice freshly squeezed

Instructions 

  1. Combine strawberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until sugar is dissolved and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and strain the mixture to remove the strawberry solids.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and let the syrup cool before serving.
