Ingredients 

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • ½ cup warm water
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Filling

  • 1 cup barbecue pork, diced
  • 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and yeast. Add warm water, milk, and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. 2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Place in a bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  3. 3. For the filling, combine barbecue pork, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl. Mix well.
  4. 4. Divide the dough into 12 pieces. Flatten each piece and place a spoonful of filling in the center. Pinch the edges to seal.
  5. 5. Place buns in a steamer lined with parchment paper. Steam for 15 minutes over medium heat.
