  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic thinly sliced
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper freshly ground
  • ¼ cup parsley chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  2. 2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden and fragrant.
  3. 3. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. Use reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency if needed.
  4. 4. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
