Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup mirin
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic smashed
  • 1 slice ginger

Instructions 

  1. Boil the eggs for 7 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to ice water and let cool.
  3. Peel the eggs.
  4. Mix soy sauce, water, mirin, sugar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
  5. Add peeled eggs to the mixture.
  6. Marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
