- 1 lb Chicken gizzards cleaned
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 4 cups Vegetable oil for frying
1. Soak the cleaned chicken gizzards in buttermilk for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder.
3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
4. Dredge the soaked gizzards in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
5. Fry the gizzards in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
6. Remove the gizzards and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
