Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken breast boneless, skinless
  • 6 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 whole Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 whole Limes juiced
  • 1 whole Tomato chopped
  • 1 whole Jalapeño sliced
  • 1 handful Cilantro chopped
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 4 whole Corn tortillas cut into strips and fried

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, cook the chicken breast in the chicken broth until fully cooked. Remove the chicken, shred it, and set aside.
  2. 2. In the same pot, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. 3. Add the chopped tomato, sliced jalapeño, and lime juice to the pot. Cook for a few minutes.
  4. 4. Return the shredded chicken to the pot. Add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Serve the soup hot, garnished with chopped cilantro and crispy tortilla strips.
