Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 1.5 cups Sugar
  • 2.75 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 3 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and ground cinnamon for the coating.
  7. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, and roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Place the coated dough balls onto a baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are soft.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
