Shepherd's Pie Recipe
A classic comfort food dish made with ground meat, vegetables, and mashed potatoes.

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb or beef
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoon flour
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- to taste salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a skillet, cook ground meat until browned. Drain fat.
Add onions, carrots, and peas. Cook until vegetables are tender.
Stir in tomato paste and flour. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add beef broth and simmer until thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer meat mixture to a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes on top.
Bake for 20 minutes or until top is golden brown.
