Ingredients 

Salmon Burgers

  • 1 lb salmon fillets, skin removed finely chopped
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 4 burger buns toasted
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. 2. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  3. 3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the salmon patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until fully cooked.
  4. 4. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, chopped basil, and lemon zest to make the lemon basil mayo.
  5. 5. Spread the lemon basil mayo on the toasted burger buns. Place the salmon patties on the buns and serve.
