Instructions
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
In a small bowl, soak the saffron threads in 2 tablespoons of warm water.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the rice and stir to coat with butter.
Add the water, saffron with its soaking water, and salt.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
