Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes Russet or Yukon Gold
  • to taste salt
  • for frying vegetable oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. Slice the potatoes thinly using a mandoline slicer.
  2. 2. Soak the potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. 3. Drain and pat the slices dry with paper towels.
  4. 4. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5. Fry the potato slices in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  6. 6. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt immediately.
