In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
Add olive oil, salt, and 2 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until combined.
Gradually add the remaining flour, ½ cup at a time, until the dough comes together.
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal pieces. Roll out each piece to your desired thickness.
Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet, add your favorite toppings, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
