Ingredients 

Dough

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil

Filling

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add flour, salt, and vegetable oil to the yeast mixture. Knead the dough until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  3. 3. In a skillet, cook ground beef and onions until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Let it cool.
  4. 4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Divide dough into small balls, flatten, and fill with beef mixture. Seal edges.
  5. 5. Place piroshki on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
