Instructions
1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoon of butter.
2. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Remove from skillet.
3. Form ground beef into 4 patties and season with salt and pepper.
4. Cook patties in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes per side, until fully cooked.
5. Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
6. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on the unbuttered side of 4 slices of bread.
7. Add a beef patty and some caramelized onions on top of the cheese, then top with another slice of bread, buttered side out.
8. Cook the sandwiches in the skillet until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes per side.
