Falafel Mixture
- 1 cup Chickpeas canned, drained and rinsed
- ¼ cup Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- ¼ cup Fresh parsley chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Baking powder
- 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
- ¼ cup Vegetable oil for frying
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and baking powder. Process until smooth.
Add flour to the mixture and pulse until combined. If the mixture is too wet, add more flour, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Shape the mixture into small balls or patties.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the falafel bites until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
