New England Clam Chowder Recipe

Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 slices Bacon chopped
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 2 cups Potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 2 cups Clam juice
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 cans Clams drained
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside.
  2. 2. Add onions and celery to the pot and cook until softened.
  3. 3. Stir in potatoes and clam juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  4. 4. Add clams and heavy cream. Heat through without boiling.
  5. 5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with cooked bacon.
