  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1.5 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Cayenne pepper optional

Instructions 

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  3. Slowly whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Season with salt and cayenne pepper, if using. Serve immediately.
