Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Grease and flour four 6-ounce ramekins.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate together in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and salt until thickened and pale.
  4. Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Then, fold in the flour until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins. Place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  7. Let the cakes cool in the ramekins for 1 minute, then run a knife around the edges to loosen and invert onto plates. Serve immediately.
