Main Ingredients
- 2 cups masa harina
- 1.5 cups warm water
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup crumbled queso fresco
- 1 cup salsa
1. In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina, warm water, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
2. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll into balls. Flatten each ball into a thick disk.
3. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each disk for about 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
4. Remove from skillet and pinch the edges to form a border. Allow to cool slightly.
5. Spread a layer of refried beans on each sope. Top with lettuce, queso fresco, and salsa.
