Macaron Shells
- 100 g Almond flour
- 100 g Powdered sugar
- 100 g Granulated sugar
- 3 Egg whites room temperature
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 pinch Salt
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Sift the almond flour and powdered sugar together into a bowl.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
Fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites until well combined. Add the vanilla extract and salt, and mix until the batter flows like lava.
Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a round tip. Pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheet.
Tap the baking sheet on the counter to release any air bubbles. Let the macarons sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to form a skin.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until the macarons are set. Let cool completely before removing from the baking sheet.
