Main Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 egg yolks
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz
- 1 can evaporated milk 12 oz
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the sugar until it turns golden brown. Pour into a round baking dish to coat the bottom.
In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Pour the mixture over the caramelized sugar in the baking dish.
Place the baking dish in a larger baking pan filled with hot water halfway up the sides of the dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until set.
Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
