Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease 4 ramekins and dust with cocoa powder.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and salt until thickened.
  4. Fold melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Add flour and gently mix until combined.
  5. Divide batter evenly among ramekins. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm but center is still soft.
  6. Let cakes cool for 1 minute, then run a knife around the edges and invert onto plates. Serve immediately.
