Dough
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup milk
Soup
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Beat eggs and milk together, then add to the flour mixture to form dough.
Roll dough into small balls.
In a large pot, melt butter and sauté onions until soft.
Add potatoes and chicken broth, bring to a boil.
Drop dough balls into the boiling soup.
Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes and dumplings are cooked.
Stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
