Ingredients 

Marinade

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 pear, grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 lbs beef short ribs, flanken cut

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, sesame oil, grated pear, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Mix well.
  2. Add the beef short ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the marinated short ribs for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until nicely charred and cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
