Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice rinsed
  • 2 cups Mixed Vegetables chopped (carrots, peas, beans, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 2 cups Water
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Cilantro chopped, for garnish

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. 3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  4. 4. Add chopped vegetables and sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  5. 5. Add turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  6. 6. Add rinsed basmati rice and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  7. 7. Pour in water and bring to a boil.
  8. 8. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is cooked.
  9. 9. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped cilantro.
