Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ½ cup Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. 2. Stir in the beaten egg, milk, and chopped onion until well combined.
  3. 3. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  4. 4. Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
