Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 4 cups water divided
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rice, 2 cups of water, and the cinnamon stick. Let it soak for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Remove the cinnamon stick. Blend the rice and water mixture until smooth.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher.
  5. Add the remaining 2 cups of water, sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Stir until well combined.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Serve over ice.
