Horchata Recipe
A refreshing traditional Mexican drink made from rice, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 4 cups water divided
- 1 stick cinnamon
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups milk
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
In a large bowl, combine the rice, 2 cups of water, and the cinnamon stick. Let it soak for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Remove the cinnamon stick. Blend the rice and water mixture until smooth.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher.
Add the remaining 2 cups of water, sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Stir until well combined.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Serve over ice.
