  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 2 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and honey. Stir until honey is dissolved.
  2. Sprinkle yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes, until foamy.
  3. Add whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes, or until it has risen above the edge of the pan.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped. Let it cool before slicing.
