Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • ¾ cup Milk
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • as needed Powdered sugar for dusting
  • as needed Oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg and then add milk and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Pour the batter into a squeeze bottle or use a funnel to drizzle the batter into the hot oil in a circular motion.
  6. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
