Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • as needed vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the warm water, mixing until the dough comes together.
  3. On a floured surface, knead the dough until smooth, then let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 pieces and flatten each piece into a disc.
  6. Fry each disc in the hot oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
