- 1 pound okra, sliced
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon paprika
- 0.5 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Dip okra slices in buttermilk, then coat with cornmeal mixture.
Fry okra in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
