- 4 green tomatoes sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Mix flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Dip tomato slices in buttermilk, then coat with flour mixture.
Fry tomatoes until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
